Don is involved with The Lippin Group’s domestic and international corporate television and new media campaign strategies and activities targeting media, industry, business and advertising communities as well as the public. He heads the global public relations agency’s New York office, serves on its senior management team and joined the agency in 1988.
He regularly develops communications strategies (industry, trade press and consumer media) for television, interactive media, VOD and international production and distribution super mario companies, as well as for professional services companies and industry associations. Specifically his strategies have successfully launched several new cable networks (HGTV, Gospel Music Channel, TV5MONDE USA, Mnet, The Africa Channel, and Reelz Channel). Don’s overseen public relations and marketing communications corporate and consumer campaigns for established networks ranging from A&E, The Africa Channel, Discovery, TLC, HISTORY, Univision, Starz, Lifetime, and Hallmark to Court TV, Sundance Channel, AMC, Veria Living, Mnet, TV One and TV5MONDE).
As a function of these campaigns he has worked directly with many of the major MVPDs, satellite, Telco and local cable system operators. For CTAM, he developed and continues to oversee the national communications campaign for the Hollywood studio-cable company Movies On Demand initiative involving such prominent stakeholders as Comcast, Time Warner Cable, Cablevision, Cox, Charter and The Walt Disney Studios, Warner Bros., 20th Century Fox, Paramount, Sony/Columbia and Lionsgate, among others.
A member of CTAM, he served at the 2008 Vice Chair of the CTAM Agency Council and sits on the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences’ Board as an associate member. He has appeared on industry panels at CTAM and has contributed viewpoint articles to CTAM iQ. In addition to CTAM, Don has been a regular attendee over the last two العاب اكشن decades at such major industry conventions as The Cable Show, The Western Show, NATPE, RTNDA, MIP-TV, MIPCOM, MIP-ASIA and LIMA, to name a few.
Prior to joining The Lippin Group, he spent nearly a decade as a journalist with the Gannett Newspaper chain – serving as both and editor and reporter covering entertainment, business/finance and local news. During this time he was the business/financial editor for Today (a daily New York metro area newspaper and a proto-type for USA Today). Don also was with the corporate public relations firm of B.L. Ochman for four years.
